Last night, I was in the shower. I was feeling tired so I decided to put on some music. I chose the song "I'm still standing" by Elton John. Then I started boogieing in the shower.
And I immediately felt more joyous and energised.
This morning, I was thinking about how I could improve my start to the day, aside from journalling and exercising. And I came up with the idea of daggy dancing to uplifting and happy songs as part of my daily routine.
I'm an optimistic and cheerful person, but joy is somewhat elusive for me and this is a way that I can intentionally create more opportunities for joy and playfulness in my life that doesn't rely on anyone or anything else other than a song.
I started with "I'm so excited" by the Pointer Sisters full. Wow, this really got me in the mood for having a good day and I felt really joy-filled.
Just so you know, I'm a really terrible dancer. It's not just that I have two left feet, it's that I have no rhythm and no rhythmical memory. but that doesn't stop me daggy dancing at home in the lounge room, the shower, in my bedroom or even in the car.
I'm making a commitment to do daggy dancing once a day to up my vibration and have more joy in my life.
