Ayesha has recently moved to regional
Victoria after relocating from the mid-north coast of NSW
(though previously from Melbourne).
Ayesha is interested in a wide range of
topics, including art, writing, photography, research, community
development, communications, and technology, maternity services,
and complementary therapies.
Ayesha has a beautiful daughter Grace,
who was born in July 2006. While at home with Grace, Ayesha
runs a resume and career coaching service, and a web and
graphic design service.
Prior to moving from Melbourne,
Ayesha was the manager of Port Melbourne Neighbourhood House
and also ran her own marketing and communications business.
Previously, she has worked in a number of roles in the corporate,
government, and non-profit sectors.
As a child, Ayesha dreamed of working
overseas as an aid worker. In 1998, Ayesha moved to Chiang
Mai in Northern Thailand. Ayesha went to Thailand with Australian
Volunteers International and worked as a community development
worker with a women's NGO called Empower where she ran programs
for Thai sex workers. Ayesha then went on to work with a
number of other NGOs who provide services and assistance
to Burmese refugees.
One of Ayesha's life-long passions is
complimentary therapies and she has studied Reiki, Reconnective
Healing, Kinesiology, Bowen Therapy, and most recently Pranic
Healing (studied with the Ashish
Institute for Inner Studies). |
